Rally driver, navigator, press officer, DJ, barista, CEO and mechanic
Malte is our all-rounder. Born in 1985, the millennial is not only making his mark professionally as Managing Director at SGB IT. As a father of two children, he’s also busy in his private life, including volunteering.
Malte isn’t exactly a car fanatic, but he’s had the opportunity to tinker with his motorcycle for years, so he’s good at minor jobs like oil changes and the like. He’s competent enough in the area of on-board electronics to install accessories or troubleshoot minor problems.
Malte previously worked as a volunteer for the Federal Agency for Technical Relief for almost 15 years, where he expanded his knowledge of map reading. He hasn’t forgotten analog navigation and orientation to this day. This could become an essential skill for the 2025 Viking Sun Rally , as GPS and navigation devices are not permitted during the rally.
Malte, as an IT specialist, also takes care of the digital presence of Team McWell by SGB IT oHG and is also available as a contact person for interviews.
In the little free time he has, he likes to watch the latest movies (Marvel!) or try his hand at being a barista on his portafilter machine at home (now his brew is even good to drink!)
